"Now and then, though someone does begin to grow differently. Instead of down, his feet grow up toward the sky. But we do our best to discourage awkward things like that."
"What happens to them?" Insisted Milo.
"Oddly enough, they often grow ten times the size of everyone else," said Alec thoughtfully, "And I've heard that they walk among the stars."

5/19-5/20 Torres and Fathers day

Had an awesome weekend!!!

June 19 was Fathers Day got to enjoy the sunday with my Dad at my Papa's house in Daly City. We had Mandalay Chicken and Beef Curry and Balada EVERYTHING was delicious. It was fun to see my family and hang out.

MONDAY: JUNE 20TH

Great day!! woke up early and headed out to the city to see Andres Torres a San Francisco GIANT!!!

Torres who last season hit 23 home runs, Batted in over 100 runs and stole over 40 bases was meeting fans in downtown SF. When Tom heard he was going to be there we knew we had to go see him.

Tom,  Ashley and I got to shake hands with the World Series Champion and get autographs with him it was really awesome.

I had a minor spazzattack at being so close to an actual GIANT lol I think he thought I was a little strange as I couldn't utter a coherent sentence when it was my turn to meet him and shake hands. He signed my world series hat. It was pretty kick ass.

after getting the signatures we went to Red Java house awesome day :)

6/7 1000 K!!!!!

Had a great week!!!! And I was able to do so much...

Friday-Go GIANTS!!! went to a Giants game with Tom last Friday, it was awesome. We picked up sandwiches from our favorite deli Moruccis in Walnut Creek, and took them to the game. Where we "tailgated" in the parking lot...which was actually just me and Tom sitting by the car eating a # 6 1/2 (prosciutto, mozzarella, tomato and pesto sauce) and  drinking Fat Tires and Coronas. The game was awesome we got to see Matt Cain pitch against Colorado, Giants won 3-1!!!!

Saturday-Tom was off Saturday which proved to be a very strange day weather wise it poured rain, then was windy then sunny and then raining again. Ashley came over and we went to see X-Men First class a movie that we have been looking forward to seeing since it was just rumors of it being made. Tom and I even cast our own actors we still have t the list...that day we went to eat lunch Tom, Ashley and I. Then went to go see the movie. I have to say it was pretty awesome. Watching Tom and Ashley who are legit X-Men fans debate over the movies was pretty hilarious. I give the movie a 7 and 3/4 and I thought James Mcavoy and Nicholas Hoult did a phenomenal performance as Professor X and Beast.

Sunday-Lunch with Toms family, I really enjoy Sundays because that's the day I know Tom will be off work for sure. So I always look forward to them...This Sunday we went to Toms moms and had lunch with Toms Aunt and Uncle.  Tom and I watched Scott Pilgrim a movie I admit I actually enjoy Michael Cera and all (who I have a low threshold for). Later that night we went to a friends birthday party at Spoontonic and seeing old Friends I haven't seen in a while was very welcome.

Monday-A few days ago I saw this deal for giants tickets for $2.00 each on stub hub, Tom and I bought four tickets even though the weather was supposed to raining and possibly even lightening!! But that's something I was willing to risk to get the chance to see Tim Lincecum throw strikeout number 1,000!!! which he did. Going to the game with Ashley Tom and Frannie was really fun getting to cheer on the Giants in which they came from behind to win the game in 13 innings!

Today (Tuesday)-Today was a great day! Ashley has been craving Thai Chicken from this one restaurant in the west field center mall in SF and I thought it would be fun to go out there with my two sisters. Lori and Ashley both make my laugh ALOT!!! We enjoyed the food, (Crispy Basil Chicken!!!) the stores (Forever 21, H&M) and OK lets be honest the escalators were fun to ride. Not to mention driving in the parking garage with Lori was a fun albeit frightening experience. We also visited with gram and papa. We also got the BEST cream puffs ever!!!!

#28

Tonight Giants scored 4 runs in the ninth inning to tie up with the Marlins and put the game into extra innings. But what could have been an awesome rally turned Sour. Giants fan might wish that we had just lost the game early instead of go into extra innings. When Scott Cousins barrled into Buster Posey, pushing him over. Posey was down on the ground for a few moments before having to be helped off the field with what looked like a very painful leg/foot injury.

Posey is one of the best catcher in the leagues and I hope its nothing to serious. It seems like the Giants have been cursed with injuries this season and while we already have a few key players on the Disabled List it would be a tremondous lost for us to lose one of our shining stars Buster Posey.

....

This is really terrible and I hope he is okay...

5/25

On this day in history in 1977 Star Wars Opened to great commercial success. Also Babe Ruth hit his last homerun in 1935, it was his 714 homerun a record for career home runs that would stand for almost 40 years. Its pretty cool to look back and see what happened so long ago, today I'm not doing much but thats okay I'm happy just to spend most my day with Tom when he gets home.

Today its weird weather I woke up because it was rainy and coming down really hard, and then we had about an hour of sun followed by really strong winds.

I love living in the bay area and I am so super excited to get to the beach when the weather heats up.

For Tommy:

So in love are we to, that we dont know what to do...

Because We Lost.

Giants lost tonight it ended what was a nine game winning streak kinda sorta a lot bummed out about it so I wanted to put some up a song that I love.

Sunday Morning-Velvet Underground.

Love,
Melanie.

5/24

Today was a much looked forward to day with Tom, and while I had a difficult time waking up this morning he went out and got me a delicious Bagel from Noah's.

We went to watch the movie Bridesmaids today, it was actually pretty funny albeit a bit predicatable. The acting was solid and there were more than a couple of scenes where I laughed aloud. Tommy and I both rated it a 7/10.

After the movies we headed out to Castro Valley, To vist Crush a decent sized Comic bookstore:

This place is actually pretty cool, although its no Flying Colors which is my favorite comic book store. Crush  does have a pretty huge back issue collection and the comics are not very expensive.
Tom managed to pick up a couple of things he like. Sadly I didn't see anything I really wanted. although to be fair I have about five books coming from Amazon so I wasn't really looking. :)

We came back to Walnut Creek and spent some of the afternoon playing on Tom's X-Box we played Mortal Kombat which was fun after I got on Tom's team. He is too good to play against so I like when we can play together. After that we played a ninja turtles game (MY TOES! MY TOES!!) I was Donotello because he was supposed to be the intelligent one.

Funny/weird thing happened when we stopped in at safeway. A older guy came up to us and said to Tom: "Oh your Charlie right?" and Tom was like "Uhh no sorry..." and the guys replied "Oh, well then what are you doing with one of Charlie's Angels??" (Meaning me) ...BAHAHAHAHA....funny yet awkward.

And always a song to brighten your day:

Anyways... I will see you there or I will see you on another time.

PEACE
